It's starting to feel as if I should hand this blog over to my husband as he seems to be doing all the fun stuff with the kids these days. Somebody should tell you that if you sign up to illustrate a children's book you can say goodbye to reading, your social life, your housework time and sadly, your gettin' crafty with the kids time.
This week, I picked up an Usborne Playtime Activity book second hand for $1 thinking we'd probably never use it but hey, for a dollar, why not? To my Surprise Miss 3 poured over the book declaring she was going to do each and every activity. Kind of like me and my relationship with Pinterest (what? You don't plan on recreating every single one of your pins?). Anyhow, Dad volunteered to do one of the painting activities with Miss 3. I was supposed to be taking the opportunity to work on my book (I feel like such a fraud when I say that. But it's true!). Instead, I hung around for a few snap shots as daddy-daughter bonding is too sweet to miss.
And here is a novel way of hanging your art work! This is Dad's idea of a drying rack.

I had to laugh at the 'drying rack'! Such a Daddy thing to do :)
