Imaginative play is one of Miss 2's strengths. I am continually amazed by her boundless imagination. In our house, everything is something that it isn't. Last week she declared a pair of ice tongs to be scissors and a hair salon began to take shape in our living room.
She collected her clients from the waiting area (complete with reading material) before combing, spraying and 'cutting' their hair. This was easily accomplished with things we had laying around the house and best of all, her favorite playmate came over and joined in too!

this is great. i just discovered that this blog belongs to te same person who writes the blog my picture garden. I am fan of both blogs.. haha...

ReplyDeleteOh, how fun!! My daughter started to play hair dresser at a neighbor's house using a doll high chair and her favorite stuffed lovey--a duck. We couldn't leave since she hadn't finished Ducky's hair. She got a doll high chair for Christmas and now does it at home. Love it. Thank you for sharing at Sharing Saturday!! I hope you will share with us again this week!
ReplyDeleteWHat a great idea! My daughter loves brushing and putting clips in my hair and I keep thinking about buying a little hair dresser stand, but I love the way you set up yours SO much more! It can be moved or cleaned up or changed into something else! Brilliant!
