Life Skills - Clothes Hanging

This morning I came across The Princess and the Tot's 'What's on the Tray' post, featuring a clothes hanging tray. I thought it was such a great idea so I jumped straight to my feet and assembled a clothes hanging station for my 27-month-old. I knew she'd love it and I was right. Within half an hour she'd learned to hang clothes. She even hung the dress off her own back.

Who knew a broom handle and and a stack of clothes hangers could provide so much stimulation?

  3. Sounds lovely! I know when my kids were small, the more they COULD do, the more powerful they felt - and having a part in the life and chores of running a house IS powerful. Also sounds a bit Montessori to me, where my kids' favourite activity was pouring - they had real things, not plastic, which the kids felt good about, but they were small - appropriate to the kids' abilities. A little tray, small pitcher of water, and cups just the right size to drink from.
