I loved 'making tracks' with my daughter this afternoon. It was a great way to do some artwork while playing make-believe with some of her toys at the same time. I painted some sheets of paper with green paint to represent grass before we started. I'm sure an older child could do this themselves. Once the green paint was dry, we walked some animals through a tray of 'mud' before playing with them on the 'grass'.
It was fun for both of us to see the different tracks that each animal made. The long-tailed animals were quite interesting but I liked the little pig's delicate marks the best.
In the end, we gleefully took the opportunity to get all 'muddy' too.

This is an awesome idea. I love it!
