'H' is for Holes

I was recently inspired by Cat over at  No Wooden Spoons to explore the alphabet by basing our activities around a new letter each week. This structure has renewed my motivation to create and play and I am even organising weeks in advance. I'm not sure why we started with the letter 'H' but I'm glad we did because there are so many wonderful 'H' words in our day to day life. Priya was obsessed with pointing out holes whenever she found them from a very early age so our first activity this week was to make holes with a hole punch.

She had lots of fun mastering this new contraption with a little bit of help. Afterwards, we marveled at the holes we made. The circles that we punched out were perfect for decorating an 'H' stencil too.

More of the letter 'H' to come...

  1. I also recently discovered Ariana's letter of the week activities and love them! Great letter H idea -- I'd like to explore what else the paper punch can do!

  2. Thanks, the hole punch was fascinating to her. I don't know why I didn't think of it sooner.
